Shaver Lake is a small mountain resort community on the west slope of the Southern Sierra Nevada Mountains in central California. Known for its abundant year-round outdoor recreation and its rich history, our community is the favorite recreation and vacation area for central California. Our climate is mild. While we get plenty of snow in the winter, our average temperature in the summer is a perfect 84 degrees. Little has changed over the last 40 years. The business district is quaint and unpretentious. People come to relax and enjoy the clean air and pure water, while taking in the spectacular countryside.
Shaver Lake and the surrounding recreation area offers abundant outdoor fun. Snow skiing, water skiing, snowboarding, hiking, snowmobiling, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, bird hunting, bird watching, deer hunting, bear hunting, lake fishing, stream fishing, photographing the incredible scenery, riding ATVs and motorcycles, canoeing, kayaking, sailing, and much more!

Community Center
Shaver Lake has a very nice community center, the highlight of which is the hall used for community functions, wedding receptions, and family gatherings. You may rent the hall for your function. See the community directory for information.
There is also a baseball diamond, kid’s playground, and picnic area set among the pines. Elevation
